      Green Communities is a programme from the Energy Saving Trust that aims to support, facilitate and promote community based energy projects.
    • Community Energy Scotland CARES! They are an independent Scottish Charity, actively supporting and funding community groups throughout Scotland to develop sustainable energy projects. They deliver CARES, the Scottish Government's Community and Renewable Energy Scheme across Scotland. Their aim is to build confidence, resilience and wealth at community level in Scotland through sustainable energy development.
    • Drumsmittal Renewables This is one local family passing on their experiences and knowledge gained from converting their house into a carbon neutral dwelling.
    • Highlandheatseeker Blog This Blog charts the process of a local person converting their home heating entirely to renewables.
    • Essential Spark website Essential Spark is a U.K based renewable energy company. They supply quality, low-priced, renewable, alternative, sustainable, green energy systems - eg evacuated tube solar collectors for solar hot water and solar underfloor heating, solar photovoltaic panels, wind turbines, water turbines, petrol generators, diesel back up power generators and heat pumps.
    • The Light Brigade is an excellent website for encouraging people to switch off unnecessary lights. You take a photo of a business/area/house with lights left on at night and you email the photo to the Light Brigade and they will contact those responsible and point out to them how they could save money and energy by turning them off.
